Your Young Person's Online World
Understanding, connecting and supporting them online.
The online world is part of everyday life for most young people. It can be somewhere they laugh with friends, learn, play games, explore interests, do homework, follow sport or music, find communities and discover more about the wider world.
It can also bring pressures that are not always easy for adults to see.
This section is not about treating phones, gaming or social media as automatically harmful. It is about helping you understand more of the world your young person is navigating — and helping them develop the judgement and confidence to navigate it for themselves.
You do not need to know every app, trend, abbreviation or platform. Staying interested, keeping communication open and knowing when something needs more support can matter far more.
